Cookies Policy
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your browser and remember information, which helps it function properly, keep the site secure, provide a better user experience, and understand how the site is performing. We also use similar tracking technologies (like pixels, web beacons, and local storage objects) alongside cookies . In this Cookies Policy, we refer to all these technologies collectively as “cookies.” This policy is separate from our Privacy Policy and focuses specifically on our use of cookies and similar tracking tools.
2. Types of Cookies used
We use both first-party cookies (set by Siretic.com) and third-party cookies (set by our service providers) . Cookies on our site can be classified by their purpose and duration. Some cookies are session cookies (temporary and erased when you close your browser), while others are persistent cookies (remain on your device for a set period or until deleted). Below we explain the categories of cookies we use, what they do, and examples of each (including name, purpose, duration, and whether a third party provides them).
3. Strictly necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to operate and cannot be turned off in our systems. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility. Without these cookies, certain services or features (like payment or account login) cannot be provided, and the site wouldn’t function properly. We do not require your consent to place strictly necessary cookies on your device  (their use is based on our legitimate interest in providing a working website). However, we still want to inform you about them. The strictly necessary cookies we use include:
	•	m – A Stripe cookie (expires after ~13 months) used for fraud prevention. It identifies the device accessing the site to help prevent fraudulent activities and format the website properly for that device . (Third-party cookie by Stripe)
	•	Calendly/Koalendar session cookie (_cfuvid) – A cookie set by our scheduling widget (Calendly/Koalendar) to maintain session consistency for bookings (session cookie, deleted when you close your browser). It tracks the user across sessions to ensure the scheduling service works smoothly and provides personalized scheduling experience. (Third-party cookie by Calendly/Koalendar)
	•	Consent preference cookie – A cookie that remembers your cookie consent preferences (e.g. which categories of cookies you accepted or rejected). This cookie is essential to save your settings so that you are not repeatedly asked to set your preferences on every visit. It does not store any personal information and typically persists for a long duration (up to 1 year). (First-party cookie)
(Note: These necessary cookies do not collect personally identifying information and are used only to provide the services or features you request.)
4. Analytics Cookies
Analytical cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it. Through these cookies, we collect information about traffic sources, page views, user interactions, and other metrics such as visitor counts and bounce rates. All data collected via analytics cookies is aggregated and anonymous – we use it for statistical analysis to improve content and user experience. We only set analytics cookies on your device with your consent. Our site uses the following analytics cookies:
	•	Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_<property-id>, _gid): These cookies are set by Google for our use in analyzing site traffic. The _ga cookie (typically stored for about 13 months) distinguishes unique users by assigning a random ID, helping count visits and measure how users interact with the site. The _gid cookie (24-hour duration) is used to store information about a single day’s visits, such as number of visitors, their source, and pages visited . These cookies do not identify you personally – they collect statistics in an anonymized form.
	•	Mixpanel cookie (mp_*_mixpanel): Set by Mixpanel, our product analytics tool, to understand how users engage with our website. It helps us analyze user actions so we can provide a better user experience. This cookie does not expire (persistent until cleared) and tracks usage patterns (e.g. navigation flows) without identifying individual users.
	•	Microsoft Clarity cookies (CLID, SM): Clarity is a Microsoft analytics service that provides us with insights into user behavior (such as heatmaps and session recordings). The CLID cookie (1 year lifespan) stores information about how visitors interact with our site – for example, it logs click and scroll data to help produce aggregate analytics reports. The SM cookie (session-only) is used to synchronize Clarity’s unique user ID (also known as MUID – see Advertising Cookies below) across Microsoft domains, ensuring that user session recordings and analytics correlate properly. These cookies help us improve website usability by analyzing user interactions.
	•	Bing Analytics cookie (MR): This cookie is set by Microsoft (Bing) with a 7-day duration. It collects information about users’ visits for analytics purposes. The data is used in combination with Clarity to understand website usage and performance. (Third-party cookie by Microsoft)
(All analytics cookies are only set if you consent via our cookie banner. The information they collect is used in aggregate form to improve our site and is not used to personally identify you.)
5. Performance and advertising Cookies
Performance and advertising cookies are used to enhance the performance of our site and deliver relevant content or ads. Performance cookies collect data on how the site is functioning for users (e.g., load times, errors, user interactions) to help us fix issues and optimize the user experience. Advertising (targeting) cookies track your online activity to provide tailored advertising and measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. These cookies may be set through our site by third-party advertising networks or services we use. We will only use such cookies with your consent. The performance/advertising cookies in use include:
	•	SRM_B – A Microsoft Advertising cookie (expires after ~1 year and 24 days) used as a unique identifier for visitors . This helps Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) recognize the same user across visits and measure advertising performance or user engagement on our site. (Third-party cookie by Microsoft)
	•	MUID – A cookie set by Microsoft (with ~13 month duration) to identify unique web browsers visiting Microsoft sites . On our site, this cookie comes via Microsoft Clarity/Bing and is used for analytics and advertising purposes. It helps correlate user behavior data and may be used to enable personalized ads or analysis across different Microsoft services. (Third-party cookie by Microsoft)
	•	ANONCHK – A Microsoft Bing cookie (10-minute lifespan) used to store a session ID and verify clicks on Bing ads . It helps in fraud detection, ad reporting and personalization. In essence, if you arrive at our site via a Bing advertisement, this cookie ensures that your visit is properly logged for ad performance metrics. (Third-party cookie by Microsoft)
(We currently do not use other advertising cookies like Google Ads or social media trackers on Siretic.com, so you will not receive third-party marketing cookies beyond those listed above. The advertising cookies we do use are primarily related to Microsoft’s services. These cookies will only be set if you explicitly consent, and you can always change your preferences.)
6. Third-party Cookies
Some cookies on Siretic.com are placed by third-party services that we use. Third-party cookies are set by domains other than siretic.com and enable features or functionalities provided by external providers. We want to be transparent about which third parties are involved in our site’s cookie usage:
	•	Google – We use Google Analytics (GA4) for website analytics. Google’s cookies (like _ga, _gid) help us count visitors and understand usage patterns. Google may also employ related technologies via our site (for example, Google Tag Manager) strictly for analytics purposes. These are third-party cookies from Google’s domains (such as google-analytics.com) used with your consent.
	•	Microsoft – We use Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics and may have Microsoft Advertising tags. Microsoft’s cookies (e.g., Clarity cookies CLID, SM, as well as Bing cookies MUID, MR, ANONCHK, SRM_B) are set via our site. They allow Microsoft to provide us analytics on user interactions and to measure ad performance. These cookies are controlled by Microsoft’s domains (like clarity.ms and bing.com) and data from them is subject to Microsoft’s privacy practices.
	•	Mixpanel – We use Mixpanel to analyze user interactions within our site (such as clicks and navigation flow). Mixpanel’s cookie (mp_*_mixpanel) is a third-party cookie that allows collection of usage data for analytical reports. The data helps us improve features and usability. Mixpanel is a third-party service, and data collected may be processed by Mixpanel as per their privacy policy.
	•	Stripe – We integrate Stripe for payment processing. Stripe sets cookies (like the m cookie) to prevent fraud and ensure secure transactions . These cookies come from Stripe’s domain and help identify devices or browsers for security. We do not have access to the information in Stripe’s cookies; it is used by Stripe to protect both you and us during payment activities.
	•	Calendly/Koalendar – We use a third-party scheduling tool (at times Calendly or Koalendar) to allow you to book appointments or calls. This tool sets cookies (such as _cfuvid) to maintain your session and preferences across page loads . For example, it ensures that when you schedule a meeting, the scheduling form remembers your inputs and works consistently. These cookies are served from the scheduling service’s domain (e.g., calendly.com or koalendar.com) and are subject to that service’s cookie policies.
Please note that these third parties (Google, Microsoft, Mixpanel, Stripe, Calendly/Koalendar, etc.) may set and access their own cookies on your device through our site. We do not have direct control over the operation of third-party cookies. Their cookies are governed by the third parties’ own privacy/cookie policies. We recommend you review the privacy policies of these providers to understand how they handle the information they collect. However, we only enable these cookies on our site after you have given consent (except for Stripe and Calendly which fall under necessary cookies required for core functionality).
If you do not consent to certain categories (e.g., analytics or advertising), those third-party cookies in that category will not be loaded. We also do not share any personal data with these third parties beyond what their cookies collect through their scripts on our site.
7. Cookie management and preferences
Consent Banner: When you first visit Siretic.com, you are presented with a cookies consent banner. This banner allows you to choose your cookie preferences. You can Accept All cookies, Reject All non-essential cookies, or customize your choices by category (e.g., enable some and disable others). Essential cookies (strictly necessary) are always active, as our site won’t work properly without them. Through the banner’s “Customize” or “Preferences” option, you can read more about each category and decide which to allow. We record your selections and honor your preferences; only the cookies for which you give consent will be activated in your browser.
Changing Preferences: You can modify your cookie preferences at any time. If you initially accepted certain cookies and later change your mind (or vice versa), you have a few options to adjust:
	•	Using our site’s settings: We provide a “Consent Preferences” tool on our website (for example, a link or button in the footer that says “Cookie Settings” or “Consent Preferences”). By clicking this, you can reopen the cookie consent banner and update your selections or withdraw consent for any non-essential cookies. Your new choices will take effect immediately – previously set non-essential cookies that you now disable will stop being used (you may also manually delete them from your browser for complete removal).
	•	Using your browser settings: Additionally, you can control cookies through your web browser. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. For example, you can typically refuse all third-party cookies, or all cookies, or be notified when a cookie is being set. Check your browser’s help documentation for specific instructions on managing cookie settings (see the support pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge for guidance). Using browser settings to delete or block cookies is an effective way to withdraw consent as well – if you clear cookies, our site will treat you as a new visitor and the consent banner will appear again.
Please note that if you choose to block all cookies via your browser, this may affect the functionality of our website. Blocking even strictly necessary cookies can result in parts of the site not working (for example, you might not be able to use certain features or schedule a meeting) . We recommend allowing essential cookies at a minimum for the best experience. Refusing or deleting non-essential cookies will limit our ability to gather analytics or show tailored content, but it will not prevent you from using our site – you will still have access to content and services even if you decline all optional cookies.
Withdrawal of Consent: If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies, you can do so by revisiting the consent preferences on our site or by clearing your cookies as described above. Withdrawing consent will stop further data collection by the disabled cookies. (Keep in mind that disabling cookies does not remove data already collected; however, such data is typically aggregated analytics data in our case.) We strive to make it as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it. If you have any difficulty changing your preferences, please contact us and we can assist in ensuring your choices are respected.
8. Legal Basis for Cookie Use
We process personal data collected through cookies in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive (“cookie law”). Our legal bases for using cookies are:
	•	Strictly Necessary Cookies – Legitimate Interest/Required for Service: For essential cookies that are needed to operate the website or provide you a service, we rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) or the ePrivacy Directive’s exemption for cookies that are strictly necessary. In other words, it is in our legitimate interest to use these cookies to ensure our site functions securely and correctly, and/or these cookies are used to provide a service explicitly requested by you (such as remembering items in a cart or enabling payment processing). These necessary cookies do not require prior consent, but you still have the right to know about them (hence we disclose them in this policy).
	•	Analytics, Performance, and Advertising Cookies – Consent: For all cookies that are not strictly necessary (e.g., analytics, performance, advertising cookies), our legal basis is your consent. In compliance with GDPR Article 6(1)(a), we will only deploy these cookies on your device if you have given clear, affirmative consent via our cookie consent banner or settings. By default, these cookies are inactive until you opt-in. You have the freedom to accept or decline these cookies, and your choice will be respected. We also ensure that you can use the site even if you refuse non-essential cookies (though some minor features may be unavailable if they rely on the cookies you declined).
	•	Right to Withdraw Consent: If you consent to cookies, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time . We have provided easy means for you to do so (as described in the section above on Cookie Management). Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of data processing that occurred while the consent was in effect, but will stop any new data collection by the cookies you withdraw consent for. There is no penalty or loss of core functionality if you withdraw consent for optional cookies; only the related features (analytics insights, personalized ads, etc.) will be limited.
We maintain a record of users’ cookie consent choices as required by law. This record (for example, a log of consent given via the banner) helps demonstrate our compliance and also allows us to remember your preferences on future visits (so you’re not asked repeatedly). We handle any data from cookies according to our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the cookies we use or to comply with new legal requirements or technological developments . If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy and (if required) notify you via the website (for instance, via a banner or pop-up). We encourage you to review this policy periodically  to stay informed about how we use cookies and protect your privacy. Your continued use of Siretic.com after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
This Cookies Policy is effective as of July 2025 (last updated on that date). We will archive previous versions of the policy for reference if needed and will clearly indicate the date of any changes.
Contact: If you have any questions or concerns about our use of cookies and similar technologies, or if you wish to exercise any rights or withdraw consent regarding cookies, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can reach us by email at hello@siretic.com. We are here to help with any inquiries – for example, if you need more information about a particular cookie or if you need assistance adjusting your preferences, feel free to contact us.
